It’s often been referred to as “Glastonbury for Chefs”! This year, the Universal Cookery & Food Festival was hosted by the amazing Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire. Owned by ex-racing driver and Formula One World Champion Jody Scheckter, Laverstoke Park Farm is an organic/bio-dynamic farm producing some of the countries finest beef & poultry, including a herd of 200 water buffalo used for making buffalo mozzarella, sausages, burgers, jerky & biltong.
The event was held in an agricultural shed which allowed the vast selection of producers and chef suppliers to show off their wares on a bed of straw.
Later in the day 3 teams, led by some of the countries best chefs competed in a BBQ competition using pork supplied by the famous Dingly Dell.
